Birmingham prison solidarity demonstration, 17:30, Sunday 18th December

From here:

“You may have seen the riots taking place at HMP Birmingham on 16 December, this demonstation acts in solidarity with those incarecerated at HMP Birmingham who are fighting on the inside, and against G4S, HMP and the Prison Industrial Complex. Bring pots&pans for noise!”

Again, it’ll be starting at 17:30 on Sunday 18th (today), outside HMP Birmingham, Winson Green Road. The organisers are Birmingham Prison Resistance, who I’d not heard of before, but may be ones to watch as the situation at HMP Birmingham develops.

About nothingiseverlost

"The impulse to fight against work and management is immediately collective. As we fight against the conditions of our own lives, we see that other people are doing the same. To get anywhere we have to fight side by side. We begin to break down the divisions between us and prejudices, hierarchies, and nationalisms begin to be undermined. As we build trust and solidarity, we grow more daring and combative. More becomes possible. We get more organized, more confident, more disruptive and more powerful."
