Joel Almgren is free!

Some good news from Sweden: Joel Almgren, the Swedish antifascist comrade who’s been incarcerated for several years as a result of defending an antiracist demonstration from a nazi attack in December 2013, has now been released. You can read more about Joel in his own words here.

As I understand it, Joel’s release means that there are currently no antifascist prisoners who’re publically requesting support in Western Europe. However, Jock Palfreeman is still serving his lengthy sentence in Bulgaria, along with the case of Alexander Kolchenko in Russia and a number of other antifascists who’ve been jailed in Belarus.

About nothingiseverlost

"The impulse to fight against work and management is immediately collective. As we fight against the conditions of our own lives, we see that other people are doing the same. To get anywhere we have to fight side by side. We begin to break down the divisions between us and prejudices, hierarchies, and nationalisms begin to be undermined. As we build trust and solidarity, we grow more daring and combative. More becomes possible. We get more organized, more confident, more disruptive and more powerful."
